GCC Pillars Team
Global Connections Center Pillars Team is in the process of being assembled to help with the construction of the center at Nyanchonori which would house a media center, conference and training room as well guest rooms for students from the United States who would spend time working with local students on service learning projects. Kenya Trip News
Dr. Angwenyi has taught participating students basic Swahili during Kenya 2016 Trip meetings. These meetings are held to bond and connect with other peers as well as create a comfortable bond between Trip Supervisors. Parents also get to connect and share concerns/experiences during these meetings

Students have explored what they are most excited for about the trip. Students also have discussed what got them into the Kenya 2016 trip. Many Students have talked about setting up an out-of-school team bonding trip. Participants have bonded during the Kenya House Event and are excited to get to know each other more.
Students have received all required immunizations, which makes the Kenya Experience Trip feel closer than ever. Students and teachers have learned what to do if they get sick, how to prevent sickness and how to make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible.
The Kenya trip participants are in the process of obtaining their Kenya visas to enable them travel to Kenya. Students can apply their visa online by going to the Kenya Embassy website and click the eVisa link. A single entry Visa for Kenya is $50. Experience Focal Points
The Kenya 2016 Trip will focus on digging the foundation for a new school or classroom walls, tree planting, and helping the community. Students will immerse themselves in the culture of Kenya as well as go on an adventure of a lifetime.
Kenya Coastal Experience
Students will tour the historic 16th Century site, Fort Jesus as well as visit the colorful markets and narrow streets of Old Mombasa. Snorkeling and beach combing are only a few fun experiences for your child to enjoy.
